As a board member of the Missouri Association of Nurse Anesthetists (MOANA), she plays an active role in shaping healthcare policies that improve patient outcomes and advance the profession.

Her work focuses on standardizing protocols to ensure the highest quality of care in anesthesia techniques, pain management, and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS). She is passionate about implementing best practices that promote safety, efficiency, and better patient experiences.

Dr. Jason R. Wellen is a distinguished transplant surgeon specializing in kidney and pancreatic transplants. He serves as the Chief of Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Surgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and holds a full professorship at Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Wellen earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey. He further specialized with a fellowship in abdominal transplant surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. In addition to his medical training, he obtained an MBA from Washington University's Olin School of Business.

Throughout his career, Dr. Wellen has contributed significantly to medical research, authoring numerous articles focused on kidney and pancreatic diseases. His expertise also extends to optimizing operating room efficiency in large hospital settings, where he identifies and implements vital changes to improve surgical workflows. Additionally, he plays a key role in guiding the business practices of concierge anesthesia groups, applying his combined medical and business knowledge to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.

Barbara has spent her career across a variety of healthcare specialties, including fertility, women's health, anesthesia, medical aesthetics, and physician practice management. She is known for combining strategic vision with a hands-on leadership style, fostering collaboration, and creating environments where teams thrive and patients receive outstanding care. She earned her Executive MBA from Suffolk University, further strengthening her expertise in strategic leadership, organizational growth, and business management.

Outside of work, Barbara is embracing her newest and favorite role—being a mom. She enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing at the beach, getting lost in a great book, and cheering on her favorite sports teams. A devoted dog lover, she's happiest when surrounded by family, friends, and her Labrador retrievers. Whether she's leading a team through change or enjoying a sunny afternoon by the ocean, Barbara brings energy, optimism, and authenticity to everything she does.

She currently provides independent anesthesia services throughout Northeast Georgia and serves as the Southern Director for Front

Dr. Erika Bendetti is a highly experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with over a decade of advanced clinical practice across outpatient centers, hospital systems, and specialized surgical programs. She currently provides independent anesthesia services throughout Northeast Georgia and serves as the Southern Director for Frontenac Anesthesia, overseeing care in multiple centers across Missouri and South Carolina.

Her clinical background includes extensive work in cardiac, regional, obstetric, neuro, trauma, pain management, GI, and fertility anesthesia. Dr. Bendetti holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wilmington University, a Master of Science in Nursing (Nurse Anesthesia) from Thomas Jefferson University, and maintains multiple state certifications and advanced life support credentials.

Dedicated to service, she has volunteered internationally in Haiti and Ecuador, supporting both adult and pediatric surgical missions. Dr. Bendetti is also a proud member of Sigma Theta Tau and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
